We would like to draw your attention to a useful website called Mangahigh which we hope will increase your child’s enjoyment of Maths, and at the same time give them an opportunity to practise Maths skills!
The site gives access to a range of interactive games and practice questions; teachers may at times direct their class to particular areas of the site to support what is being taught in Maths lessons. Each child will be given their own username and will be able to compete for points against other children in Curledge Street. They will also be able to compete against children in other schools, at which time they will be identified by their first name and initial. There will be a link to Mangahigh from the school website.
We are planning to introduce the site during ICT lessons, when children will be given their username and password. We are of course aware that not everyone has access to the internet - with this in mind we will be providing opportunities at lunchtime for children to access the site.
We hope that the children will find Mangahigh an enjoyable way to improve their Maths skills – whilst having fun at the same time!
