During the Easter holidays Mrs Carter and myself visited Lagos.  We had a wonderful experience there and have made many Nigerian friends.  We are now officially partnered with St Francis Nursery and Primary school which has about 700 pupils.  We spent time in the school and the children sung, danced and shared their learning with us.

Mr Michael Makinde the headteacher will return to visit our school later on in the year.  We will be undertaking a joint project with them using photographs and Sype to share our customs and festivals.  We will be growing vegetables here at school and we will be looking at how their fruit and vegetables grow in Nigeria, due to the different temperatures and climate.    I have shared some of the information with the children in assembly and they are very keen to share our cultural similarities and differences.  I will keep you updated as the project progresses.
