Green Day

Thu, 23/06/2016 - 18:46

This year Green Day was also Empty Classroom Day.  First thing in the morning, the school joined together in an assembly where poems and songs were performed with a recycling/energy conservation theme.  Mrs Humphrey introduced Jago Burris, son of Chris Burris, to the children and he later presented The Most Improved Reader Award  to two children from Year 6, Aiden Mullins and Molly Stothard.  They each received book tokens and a plaque which they were able to keep. Their names were added to the shield which stays in school.  After the assembly, the whole school enjoyed Green Day with the sunshine even making an appearance. It was great to see so many children wearing green clothing and enjoying activities in the school outdoor areas as well as on Paignton and Goodrington beach.
