On Friday 26th May, the school celebrated its annual Green Day where, as well as trying to save energy, it presented the Burris award to the two Year 6 children who have been recognised as having improved significantly with their reading.. This year, this prestigous award was awarded to Sam Stocker and Alexia Lauro who both also received individual trophies to keep and book tokens.
Year 1 spent the day at Goodrington beach, while children all over the school spent the day taking part in various activities around a 'Saving the Environment' theme. Children in year 6 wrote poems,which were read out during anafternoon assembly held outside in the sunshine. During the day, Year 3 children also wrote a song which they later performed in assembly.
