SpringTerm 2017

The Spring term started with Asia winning the first week, then Europe house in week 2.  For the next two weeks, It was Australasia -  with Americas stopping them making it three in a row.  In the final week of the half term, Asia came out the winners with a massive total points of 2322.  Well done to all those children in Asia house.

The first week of this half term saw Americas as the winning house and in the second and third weeks,  Asia house won and then it was the turn of Australasia for the last two weeks.

The total number of housepoints awarded up to and including 31st March was over 53,000 - a fantastic amount and earned all the children an extended break.
Well done to all the children who have earned points this term !!!!!

The winning house for the Spring term 2017 was Asia with a total of 12,417 points, 2nd place was Australasia with 12206 points and in 3rd place was Africa with 11104 points.

The winning house for 2015 - 16 was Europe   - Congratulations!

Each term we would like the children to celebrate the success of both themselves and others so a whole school target of earning 40,000 points per term has been set!!!!.  In the summer term, the children met their target and  were asked by the School Council what they would like their treat to be.  Most classes chose to watch a film while wearing their pyjamas, which they did on the last Thursday of the term, although some classes chose to have a games afternoon.

The winners of the two Sports Days were:

Phase 2 - Europe
Phase 3 - Australasia

Well done to all the children who took part in the events over the two days.

We are now in our fifth year of the school and its staff being allocated to house teams. The school has been split into 5 houses to match the Olympic rings.

The houses are the five continents : Europe, Americas, Australasia, Asia and Africa.

All the children and staff in the school are represented by a house and a colour. Housepoints are awarded in the class and around the school for excellent work and behaviour. These housepoints are collected by the Year 6 house captains and the results are celebrated  in our weekly assembly.

This year, each house will have one Vice Captain as well as two Captains.

For 2016 - 17, the House Captains are:

Europe:           Kaci Bates and Manish Kharel
Africa:             Alannah Murphy and Rohan Hampton
