We are now in our sixth year of the school and its staff being allocated to house teams. The school has been split into 5 houses to match the Olympic rings.
The houses are the five continents : Europe, Americas, Australasia, Asia and Africa.
All the children and staff in the school are represented by a house and a colour. Housepoints are awarded in the class and around the school for excellent work and behaviour. These housepoints are collected by the Year 6 house captains and the results are celebrated in our weekly assembly.
The House captains for 2017-18 are:
|Europe||Cerys Robinson and Cole Pursey|
|Africa||Isabella de Burgh and Kyle Bavester|
|Australasia||Ben McCaskill and Helen Geare|
|Americas||Tiffany Langford and Dacjan Styncho|
|Asia||Lexie Sozou and Steven Ivey|
Academic year 2017- 2018
In the autumn term, the House Cup was presented to Ben and Helen, the house captains for Asia. In second place was Australasia , followed by Africa in third place.
The winning house for 2016-17 was Australasia - Well done!
The winning house for 2015 - 16 was Europe - Congratulations!
Each term we would like the children to celebrate the success of both themselves and others so a whole school target of earning 40,000 points per term has been set!!!!. In the summer term, the children met their target and were asked by the School Council what they would like their treat to be. Most classes chose to watch a film while wearing their pyjamas, which they did on the last Tuesday of the term, although some classes chose to have a games afternoon or go to the beach or geopark..
