Teachers from Nigeria visited our school and joined in with the various activities taking place in the classroom last Monday. As a finale for their visit, a whole school asembly was held in the afternoon where the visitors were presented with gifts from our school. After being entertained with performances by the choir, ukelele and dance clubs, the whole school was encouraged by our visitors to join them dancing as you can see from the photographs.. After the asembly, children and staff were heard making these comments:
Year 1 child: It was so lovely, just like a party.
Year 2 child: I particularly enjoyed the drumming and singing frm the Nigerian visitors.
Year 3 child: I loved the music and the dancing.
Year 5 child: It was so much fun when Mrs Humphrey started dancing with Mr Makinde and then all the teachers and children joined in.
A teacher: It had such a good vibe and having the whole school up and dancing was fabulous.
Two members of staff are to visit Nigeria during February half term and we are sure they will come back with many photographs and stories to share with our children.
