Each half term, one child in each of the Phase 3 year groups is presented with sports colours in a whole school assembly and are to be congratulated..Their photographs, along with those of children awarded with arts colours, are added to the colours display in the main hall.
Sam Greaves - 4TF
Sam is awarded school colours for his continued excellence in all sports that he takes part in. He shows outstanding leadership skills which have resulted him being awarded the job of the year 3/4 football captain.
Nia Harradine-Cole - 5HW
Nia is becoming an integral part of the school netball, hockey and athletics teams. She is also awarded her school colours for running the fastest time so far this year in athletics.
Keira Fox - 6RU
Kiera is awarded her school colour for her outstanding attitude towards all sport and her role as an integral member of the school girl’s football team. She has also played a key role in helping Curledge Street qualify for the county hockey finals.
Ashton Ballard - 6RU
Ashton is a fantastic all-round sportsman who has competed in a number of sports at the highest level. In year 5, he was a key player for the school football team who won the league and Bewley Cup. Ashton has also competed in the county athletics finals for the school as well as basketball and tag rugby. He has a lot of talent and although he has a shy personality, his will to win and compete should never be questioned.
Emily Butcher - 6TR
Emily is a talented member of a number of sports teams at Curledge Street Academy. Playing a year below a lot of children, Emily won the league, Presidents Cup and the ESFA and County Cup finals for the school football team. As well as this, she played for the school netball team which won the Torbay plate this year. Emily listens extremely well and always puts her team mates before herself which demonstrates her kind and dedicated attitude to everything she does.
Ruby Bavester - 4TF
Ruby enjoys many sports but she she shows an excellence for athletics. She is an integral part of the year 3/4 athletics team who recently took part in the Paignton School Althletics competition which Curledge Street Academy won.
Jerrard Columna - 5HW
Jerrard has an excellent attitude to sports, especially in athletics where he plays a key role in the team. He was an integral member of the school's year 5/6 athletics team recently won both the Paignton and Torbay Athletics finals.
Emma Williams - 6TR
Emma takes part in all sports, including football and athletics, with tremendous enthusiasm and skill. She is an excellent role model for other children in the school.and gains her sports colours for her outstanding performance in the school's netball team.
